Aric was the first employee at The BoaVida Group, originally tasked with analyzing new park acquisitions and acting as company pilot. As BoaVida grew (to its now 500+ employees) Aric’s role progressed to overseeing risk management, investor relations, and he quarterbacks most legal matters. Drawing on three decades of experience in a variety of industries including medical, foodservice, office automation and real estate, Aric has been involved with small- to mid-sized businesses in a variety of capacities.
As president and chief financial officer of PLEC Management Group Inc. and Pacific Laser Eye Centers, he oversaw the daily operations and growth of nine LASIK surgery centers, 11 corporate entities, 400 independent contractor doctors, 18 surgeons, 76 members of boards of directors and 248 investors. Prior to his role as president and CFO, he was the vice president of operations charged with developing and constructing the multi-state facilities and overseeing all personnel.
His role as executive vice president of Capital Planning Advisors had him serving as a business growth consultant, with his client industries including medical services, manufacturing, law, distribution, construction and insurance.
Aric’s other entrepreneurial ventures include the creation and development of the multi-location Aric’s Java Cafés and BrewPub, serving hundreds of customers daily. As an agent with the developer Potter-Taylor and Company, he became experienced with real estate issues and commercial lease transactions in the greater Sacramento region.
Past affiliations have included positions as founder of Christian Business Roundtable, arbitrator with the Better Business Bureau, board member of Urata Concrete, Inc., president of Low Flying Angels, Inc., vice president and treasurer of the board of directors for the Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy and he has been honored as the City of Citrus Heights Business Person of the Year.
He has been married for more than 30 years, has two children and three grandchildren.
